Christchurch CMF Seminar

CMF Seminar with Dr Peter Saunders (CEO of CMF UK) and Dr Fraser Hodgson (National Director of CMF NZ).

A discussion on topics relevant to Christian doctors and medical students, including:

  • Human Values and their origin - an overview of changes in culture worldwide and their impact on medical ethics
  • Why does God allow suffering? - practical theology
  • Euthanasia and Abortion

Venue:  31 Lochee Road, Upper Riccarton

Timing: 9am to 2pm (but please come even if you can't stay the whole time or arrive late).

Bring: Yourself, friends and colleagues interested in CMF, finger food for pot luck meal (but please come even if you can't bring food).

Programme

9:00 am  - Devotional

9:15 am  - Human Values and their Origin - An overview of changes in culture and their impact on medical ethics.

10:15 am - Morning tea

10:45 am - Euthanasia - Peter Saunders will look at the Biblical perspective and review what is happening worldwide.  Followed by a Q&A panel.

11:45 am - CMF - NZ and worldwide

12:30 pm - Lunch

1:00 pm   - Sharing faith with patients - Peter Saunders with contributions from Fraser and others.

2:00 pm   - End
