The hospital has a focus on helping people with all kinds of disability. It provides in- and out-patient leprosy services, reconstructive surgery, nursing care, laboratory services, counselling and health education, in- and out-patient rehabilitation including orthopedic appliances, physiotherapy and occupation therapy. Person Description
The qualified student would be under staff physician supervision, participating in all daily activities of ward rounds, outpatient clinics, surgery, and emergency calls. In this challenging environment, it is helpful to have a hardy personality and good sense of humor. An on-field commitment of at least one month is necessary.

A busy obstetric and gynaecological centre with paediatric inpatient care for neonates and infants, and outpatient care for under 5’s, this 100-bed hospital gives government-recognised midwifery training to young women from the Christian community.
Person Description
Only female medical students are accepted due to the nature of the hospital. Junior Doctors with a few years' experience, particularly in paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology, would be particularly useful. Students should be sensitive to cultural constraints and willing to fit in with expat and national staff.

This university has experience taking receiveing international students both in clinical and community settings. It has a multicultural environment. Electives can be done in obstetrics and gynaecology, surgery, pediatrics, emergency or tropical medicine.

The applicant needs to apply at least 2 months in advance with a CV and a letter of recommendation from the applicant's school or teacher. The elective can be as short as 4 weeks.
