Saline equips healthcare professionals to impact their workplace for Christ by being SALT and LIGHT.

This is a training process that disciples, trains, and coaches healthcare workers to skillfully and confidently assess where a patient is in their journey towards faith in Christ.

The training provides practical tools to help a Christian demonstrate the love and reality of Jesus in healthcare, all with permission, sensitivity and respect. Within the training, five main questions are addressed:

  • Why is faith important to healthcare?
  • What are the opportunities and barriers to fulfilling God's call?
  • What is my role?
  • What are the tools I can use to cultivate, sow and harvest?
  • Where do we go from here?

Saline Process Online Training (SPOT) was launched in 2017 and is a great way to take the training if you are not able to attend an event in person. Access this free online training at www.IHSglobal.org/SPOT

Saline Process equips Christian healthcare workers to be witnesses for Christ in their clinical settings. Participants learn principles and tools that can immediately be applied in their interactions with patients and colleagues. After completing the Saline Process training, participants should be able to assess a patient’s attitude towards Christ and know how to respond appropriately, applying the ethical principles of permission, sensitivity and respect. This biblically based teaching emphasizes the role many individuals may play in a person’s journey to Christ. The pressure is off! We are free to faithfully serve those around us and leave the results to God.
